Care Guide

Resin is relatively robust and the resin I use cures to a very hard finish and is UV stable. However, it is a plastic - so can be sensitive to certain environments.

Here are some tips to help keep your item looking its best!

CLEANING YOUR ITEM

• The resin surface can be kept clean and smear free by simply using the polishing cloth provided.

• The cloth can also be used to gently polish the metal components.

• Do not use harsh chemicals for cleaning - especially solvent based products as they will ‘eat’ into the resin.

• A slightly damp lint free cloth such a microfibre spectacles polishing cloth could be used - making sure to dry thoroughly before storing.

• There are plastic polishes that can be used on resin if you want to add extra shine to older pieces. Please get in touch for some recommendations!

• Do not submerge in water.

JEWELLERY CARE

Times to remove jewellery:

• Sleeping

• Exercising or other physical activity

• Showering and bathing

• In pools and hot tubs

• In steam rooms and during health treatments

• Sunbathing

Avoid spraying with perfume, hair spray, oils or other similar products.

I recommend an approach of putting on your jewellery last of all when getting ready!

STORAGE

Store in a dry, dark place.

Do not expose to direct sunlight or excessive heat/cold.

COMPACT MIRRORS & BAG HOOKS

To avoid scratching against other items in your bag, keep your compact mirror or bag hook in the pouch provided.

WOODEN LOG SLICE ART

Painted wood slices are protected with a clear coat of matte craft varnish.

I use lightfast acrylic paint to ensure longevity and brightness of colour.

FINAL NOTE

Treat your item with care and respect, and it will last you a long time 💚
